JEROME I. DAVIS
MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA

Jerome I. Davis was born in Orangeburg County, SC. He graduated from Palmer College, with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and has completed a myriad of Security related training to include, The Basic Law Enforcement, Industrial Security Course, Telecommunications Security Specialist Course, Criminal Investigation Course, Management of Intrusion Detection Systems Course and the Terrorism Counteraction Course. He has an extensive background in the security field. His career started with 2 years of Active Duty in the United States Army as a Military Police, he served 28 years in the United States Army Reserves where he retired as a Master Sergeant E-8 in 1996. During his military career he served as a First Sergeant, he supervised and performed duties in the production and utilization of intelligence and planning of counterintelligence measures. Planned police and physical security operations and prepared Standard Operating Procedures.

July 1971 he became a Police Officer with Charleston County Police Department in Charleston, South Carolina. While working with Chas County Police Dept he attended the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. In February 1974, he transferred to the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources Department as a Conservation Officer. In October 1977 he was employed as a criminal investigator with the Alcohol Beverage Control Commission in Columbia, South Carolina.

January 1980, he began working for the United States Navy as Physical Security Specialist, at the Weapons Station in Charleston, South Carolina. February 1987, he transferred to the Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Georgia, where he worked as a Physical Security Specialist.

June 1987 he became a Physical Security Specialist for the Naval Ordnance Test Unit, Cape Canaveral, Florida. In 1992 he became head of Security for the organization and in Sept 2007 he retired. His major duties include developing command security program goals and objectives, formulating operating guidelines. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), Defense Investigative Services (DIS), as well as local, state and federal security agencies. Serve as point of contact for local, city, county and state law enforcement agencies, to assist visiting ships and submarines crewmembers with incidents involving the respective law enforcement agencies. Responsible for Security Education and Training, has developed a multifaceted security program, which includes indoctrination training supported by publications and briefings to all members of the organization. The program includes Physical, Personnel, Information, and Industrial Security. Also, conducts Force Protection, Antiterrorism, Crime Prevention, and Counter Espionage training.

In July 2004 he started Davis Security Institute, Inc in Port Canaveral, Florida where he is the president and primary instructor.

Jerome and his wife Jean resides in Merritt Island Florida.
